Location & Naming
Churchich Park is located at 3712 South 50th Streetin southwest Omaha, near the intersection of 50th and C Streets. The park covers around 12.6 acres and is tucked into a quiet residential neighborhood just south of Interstate 80. It was named in honor of Joseph Churchich, who served as the Superintendent of Omaha Parks. In 1970, the Omaha Park Advisory Board voted to recognize his contributions to the city’s park system by giving his name to this public space.
